How to access the service

Access to this service is by referral only.

If you are concerned about a skin condition, please book an appointment with your regular GP. If they feel your condition requires specialist input but does not require a hospital consultant, they will refer you to us.

  • Faster Appointments: Our waiting times are typically significantly shorter than hospital dermatology departments.
  • Expert Care: You will be seen by a GP with specialist qualifications in Dermatology (GPwER).

Conditions we treat

We provide diagnostic and treatment services for:

  • Inflammatory Conditions: Acne, Psoriasis, Eczema, and Dermatitis.
  • Skin Lesions: Assessment of unknown lesions and moles (that do not meet the urgent 2-week wait cancer criteria).
  • Low-Risk BCCs: Management of low-risk Basal Cell Carcinomas (a common type of non-melanoma skin cancer).

Services not provided

To ensure we can see patients with clinical needs quickly, the following are not covered by this service:

  • High-Risk Lesions: Suspected skin cancers located on the head or neck (these must be seen in a hospital setting).
  • Allergy Testing: We do not perform patch testing or skin prick testing.
  • Cosmetic Procedures: We do not remove benign (harmless) skin tags, moles, or cysts for aesthetic reasons.
